Midlands Student Halls is the data controller for personal data collected through this platform. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), reference ZB744042.

• Account details (name, email, role, gender preference where provided)
• Listing and verification documents (landlords / trade providers)
• Messages sent through the in-app chat
• Payment metadata via Stripe (we never store full card details)
• Basic device / usage data to keep the service secure

3. How we use it

To operate the directory, verify landlords and trades, deliver enquiries and notifications, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing

We share limited data with hosting, database, email and payment processors acting on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

Account and message data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and safety requirements.

6. Your rights (UK GDPR)
